I have to admit, at first I was a little nervous about this one. But it was really fun. Thanks for getting me outside my comfort zone!
Trunk is word art/journling, branches are pencils, leaves are photos and numbers. Hope this fits the bill!

You may add photos/journaling but not required.

I used parts of TLP All About ME, YOU and US Collab kits
This tree is just for me.

I used a wreath for branches, snowflakes for leaves and a label for trunk.

    I read your instructions:
    • pre-made tree elements & templates containing trees are not allowed.
    • But I have seen lots of leaves used, so I guess that's okay? :helpy

@bellbird- my question is the same as that of redplaid13 - seems that leaves from a kit are acceptable. Right?

I went with a more traditional family tree. The background tree is a custom shape from Photoshop filled with paper and "stroked" using Mommyish's stitching action. Thanks for the challenge!

and @flowersgal I believe what Justine meant was you couldn't use a tree element (complete with trunk, branches and leaves) and plop it on your page and call it done. You have to build your tree from separate items, so individual leaf elements should be okay.

I made a "scene". The grass and leaves are the paper layers along the bottom edge. The Trunk is the paper flags below the photos. The photos are the large branches. The word strips, arrow and date tag are the small branches. The flowers and leaves are the leaves of the tree.

Wow, when I saw this challenge I was like..."no way don't have a clue"....started looking at kits and all of a sudden I had this idea and it just came together. In honor of my husband who I lost too soon....it is a tree filled with love. And I must say everyone's trees are amazing and spectacular.
