then I’m glad today is nearly over!

Firstly I’ve been diagnosed after nearly 5 weeks of vertigo by my doctor as it wasn’t getting any better (which while not nice to have at least I know and have some meds and exercises to do)

Secondly, I didn’t get the job I interviewed for earlier in the week which I kind of had a gut feeling on as I heard back fairly quickly

Finally, just after I got out of a taxi at my house, I fell and tripped and grazed my right hand, bruised my right knee and more than likely my right hip/lower back. Normally that would be ok if you could easily get up again but I find it hard at the best of times. Luckily a couple who live across the road saw me as I was right at the road end of my very long driveway and tried to help me back onto my feet but it just wasn’t happening. Ended up having to get an ambulance call out to help and check me out and because it was classed as a mechanical fall and not a low priority medical event I didn’t have to pay the ambulance co payment of about $90. I’m totally ok now apart from being a bit stiff and sore
 
What a miserable run of events. Glad you had friendly people there to jump in and help though.

I was just lucky I was at that end of the driveway and not the other end because no one would have seen me otherwise as I was on my own. Not 100% sure how or why I fell though so taking it easy today to rest and recover
 
So glad you are okay except for the soreness. Falling can be quite harmful, especially as we age.

Age isn't the factor here, was just a freak accident where I think based on how I landed my feet just went from under me
 
All of this was in one day? My goodness that's a lot to take in. I'm sorry to hear about the job. I'm glad you are feeling mostly better after your fall and that you ended up not having to pay the copay. So fortunate the neighbors saw you. I hope the meds and exercises help with the vertigo!
 
Oh no! Glad you're okay but that must have been a painful ordeal. It's great your neighbors saw you and could intervene. Hopefully you're feeling less sore now!
 
That's a lot to happen in one day, but less a period of just a few hours!

Glad you have taken time to rest and recuperate. Sending ((HUGS)) and keeping you in my prayers.
 
That is a lot! I'm glad your neighbors saw where you fell. Is it connected to the vertigo perhaps? We have a woman at church with vertigo. It's really bad, she has to hold the walls as she walks around.

No its not, that was actually my first thought. I hadn't had a vertigo episode for several hours at that point and wouldn't have one again til way later in the evening since my vertigo episodes are mostly in relation to turning over on my left in bed. Honestly just think it was a freak accident where I may have tripped on a twig or stone or something on the driveway
 
Oh wow! So glad that it is just some bumps and bruises and you didn't break anything. And sorry about the interview... And also that vertigo. I've had it occasionally over the years, enough to make you sick. Hoping that your RX and exercises will help. In the U.S., I picked up a product called DiVertiGO that seemed to help.
 
Oh, HUGS! That had to have been so hard for you. Hope you get to feeling a lot better really soon.
 
What a shocker of a day. I'm glad the diagnosis gives you a treatment path at least & I don't know how you keep going down the job application path, but I'm also glad you had neighbors that helped in this case. I hope 2020 is your year!
 
Yikes. glad the neighbors were around to get you the help you needed! hoping you are feeling a bit better about it all now.
 
its taken me a few days to figure out what caused the fall but I am leaning more towards uneven wear on my shoes causing me to trip. Luckily I have other shoes that are very similar to swap to so hopefully no more falls
