Shopping: DONE
New printer installed today (installing is usually worse than shopping for one), and it went the smoothest any techno-change-over has ever gone. And the CHERRY ON TOP? It will print edge to edge (bleed). It didn't brag about being able to do that, and most Ink TANK printers don't (in the mid-range price), so I was THRILLED to have that back in my life. I had 3 small gifts to wrap, so did some testing/setting options with the new printer making "gift wrap" with some of my pretty digi-Christmas-paper. So far I just love this printer, and most of the time I have negative feelings about printers, so this is a great start. (It is an Epson ET-2760, in case anyone is interested.)

Getting pretty fast at making "magic blocks" (
). I'm making one for each of my 12 grands. Four down...8 to go (but only need 3 more before Christmas). I'm having so much fun doing these, especially as they seemed so intimidating.

TRAFFIC! aaaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh....why I shop online!

AJK: Praying your DIL will relent. So horrible to use children as pawns that way. HORRIBLE. :'( Our grown kids have all the power. :'(

the other good thing that’s happening now is I’m having more good days than bad when it comes to this unexplained vertigo when rolling on to my left side in bed that I’ve had for the last 5 weeks
Yeah! It's always nice to be feeling better!

My granddaughter's first birthday is tomorrow, so all the Christmas chaos goes on the back burner for a day :)
Yeah for birthday fun! Especially the first birthday!

I have power. From a few days ago when the load shedding was stage 6 (sabotage apparently) to stage 2 again (only going off 2x a day for 2 hours) I can scrap in air conditioned luxury.
That is awesome!! What is stage 6? Do you get any power?

Back to work after being home sick for 6 days!
Yeah for being well again!!

At least you provided a wee bit of exercise and flex for her hand!!!
:compcoffee:compcoffee You made me giggle!
Can I do more than one?:hehe ( this is therapeutic for me right now!) If not I will just ask forgiveness, LOL!
You may add as many as you want! I love reading all the happy!

And since today is almost over.... 18 more days!!
I'm done with my Christmas shopping! YIPPEEEEEEEE! :circles:clap:clappy

Yeah!!! I still have stockings to do. :groan

I just had guilt that any time I sat down at my computer, that was what I needed to be working on, now I'm free to play again
I hate when I feel like this! I'm glad it's done and you can play.

What is wrong with people???
I don't know. I've had someone follow me before, so I always drive to the police station or fire department. Once, I went to a hospital. For some reason people drive off when you go to those three places!

so when she pulled out she threw a cup of water at the car.
If a car throws mountain dew threw your window, it will stain a fabric ceiling....

X-ray results today say no abnormalities!! YAY!!!
Yeah!!! That's fantastic news!!!

Our population swells and everybody seems to bring their "regional driving rules" with them
This is why I avoid the strip. Everyone is in rentals or cabs and rules go out the window!

everybody's healthy today.
Yeah!!! Healthy is great!

I'm excited to be able to hang out and enjoy my little family
That's so awesome! I love that everyone will be home together.

I fractured my toe yesterday but it wasn’t dislocated too so I was really happy about that!
This makes me happy sad for you! I'm lad it's not dislocated, but a fracture isn't good either?

It is the ONLY place I have been in 3 countries, 21 states that I have ever been where they STOP at a green light!
We have that in Las Vegas. And we saw it in Niagara Falls. People are crazy!

I finally booked us the fly tickets to Berlin!!
Oh so fun! Especially with no kids! Have you been there before?

After being married almost 43 years, it's such a comfort to just be happy together.
This makes my heart happy. What a beautiful good thing!

I also need to make a batch of fudge.
Do you have a good recipe? I want to make fudge this year.

It snowed good last night and we have days of snow lined up waiting to happen!!! And we don't have to go anywhere on the icy roads unless we want to.
This is the best! I love being able to stay home and enjoy inclement weather.

I had the best DMV experience ever today. First of all, they opened up earlier than scheduled to let all the early birds inside because it was 30 degrees outside. Usually there's a line of 2 or 3 dozen people outside before the place opens at 8 a.m.; today there were barely a dozen ahead of us. Then, we were called immediately after checking in, and we were out of there by 8:30. We were filing for a new ID for my child who changed their name this year. Yay for getting another thing done and finishing it early in the day!

Yeah!!! I still have stockings to do. :groan

I went to the dollar store and for tape the other day and found LOTS of great items for the stockings! I don't think I've ever been done this early with all of that! Now... I just need to do my Christmas cards. :giggle

We don't have traffic problems, even if there is an accident. It is rare I am not the first car at a light. lol

but my good thing today, is my fluffy red robe is nice and clean. I am in it, and rather happy about it also.

I also get to go to a new mom's house today and hold her baby that is fresh out of NICU (4 weeks) and he is doing amazing!

and the sun is just now peeking over our mountains, that alone is a GREAT thing!

have a great day!

It only costs $5.99/mo for Frndly TV so I can watch live Hallmark Christmas movies or watch some on-demand. There are commercials but I can't complain for 6 bucks!

Was it simple? I know that sometimes it's a pain to go through that.

Yeah for short DMV lines!!!

Getting the new ID card was simple. Just filled out a form, filed it at the DMV, showing them the name change paperwork and new birth certificate, and the card will arrive in 7-10 days.

But the whole process of changing their name has been taking months because there are so many places to do it (first the courthouse, then birth certificate, social security card, the bank, etc). And my county is behind the times and websites for governmental offices do not explain how to get things done. We went to THREE different offices before we got to the correct one for getting the new birth certificate (though once there, it was easy).

The biggest one is that my husband officially got and accepted a new job this week. He was laid off in May, so this is a good thing. It is within another part of the larger company, so his employment benefits, salary, etc. will be re-instated to the previous levels.

Second biggest - dd finished her first finals and thinks she may have gotten all "A"s. And she is now home and can help me bake and decorate and shop and ...

I need to plan though - so many things to do before Christmas.... I need a plan...

Yesterday was the last day of our homeschool group! My older girls worked especially hard and it is like a big sigh of relief knowing we did well this semester and that it's done until after the New Year.

When my niece changed their name, it was a little easier because it was only the birth certificate, ss card and legal part (no dl or bank at the time). But I've heard it can be a pain in the butt depending on the state and how many things are in their name. Glad it was pretty simple once you got the right info!

Go dd!!!

I'm currently debating on how badly I want to write the paper that guarantees my A or hope that I did perfect on the other stuff and still get an A.....
