Dick had biopsy of his lymph gland yesterday and while the pathologist said it was cancer, he couldn't be sure of what kind before more testing. He said we'd know today. Patience patience patience...I scrapped this and now I'm done ...probably...about thinking that women make much better patients than those of the opposite sex. He isn't complaining so much now but darn if it isn't hard to watch him want to eat something solid-ish. Without treatment I can't see where this can go but I've learned that there are things that are possible that I couldn't dream of so... One thing that lifted my spirt yesterday was that our solar panels were turned on and we'd been told it would 3-6 weeks!...we are now connected to solar energy or in spiritual terms...the sunlight of the Spirit. I'll take any hope and smile I can get! xoxox
Finally had a call from Dr. and he still needs more info from the Pathologist though it is cancer in the lymph gland. But whether it is a more likely treatment by surgery or radiation and/or chemo will probably not be determined immediately. So we wait for an opinion from this Thoracic Surgeon/Oncologist and both of the two new ones we see on Monday. Trusting the process but realizing how hard it still is to wait! I can only shake my head at my humanness.
Oh dear. You get an answer but you still need to wait. I hope you can keep yourself somewhat occupied during this very trying time dear Maureen. I would be going crazy and probably not sleeping much ... thinking of you both and wishing for a speedy next few days until you can meet the new Drs. Big hugs going out to you!
I love this! Waiting is hard! I'm glad you got a piece of the answer. Don't you wish results could be like all those medical shows on tv? Take the test, result 5 minutes later?
Maureen, praying for you both as you wait and also praying for the decisions that may need to be made about treatments etc. Pray for the doctors to have wisdom.
