February 27th - Rachel Jefferies

Well I used supplies I bought today plus the free kit and it took me about 25+ minutes. I had started, before 2pm, with a story I wanted to tell re my dh's swallowing issues over the past 6 months. It's been a cloud over our life with no 'real' medical issues found. This got the story told without a lot of drama.

Rachel is quickly becoming one of my favorite designers as I become more and more in love with the art journaling way of scrapbooking. After MOC, I deleted my wish list and started again and half of it is stuff from Rachel!! I was hoping to be able to take advantage of her sale today but money is a little tight with some things we're going through right now but I plan on spending my MOC money on all RJ stuff!! @Rachel Jefferies , thank you so much for the beautiful freebie kit. It could not have come at a better time. Can't wait to play with it!!

Oh my... I think I am in trouble... seems I have unconsciously been buying her things for awhile now, found I had several of her kits, and now a whole cart full more of "must haves"... gotta save some money for all the rest that are yet to come!... anyway I had never gone to her store... I am in love!!! Yikes another designer to follow....

2pm fun challenge!

So the other day I had a busy day and like most days I had the urge to create something, you know what that is like I'm sure! So I headed to my computer opened up Rachel's folder of goodies and within 15 minutes I had my layout saved. You don't need to do your layout in 15 minutes BUT this is an example of how well designed Rachel does her products!
So your fun challenge is,....... no pressure, see how fast you can create a layout using Rachel's goodies. Let us know, how long it took you. This is all just for the fun of realizing you can create a layout with just a few minutes.

As you see I used her template/background paper and only 4 Elements. If you click on my layout it will take you to the gallery so you can see the products I used.

Well I pulled things from the first kit I remember buying and a couple of photos I want to use... Did that before spending way too long in her store... and one of the images will have to be extracted, or some such thing... Yeah... I never make things easy on myself... Will time my construction process when I get back to it... Other things I need to do now...

I know she is AWESOME! I get that way going into a Fabric store LOL takes me forever to decided what I really need ($$) and what I should put back LOL
She used to be Captivated Visions before her 'retirement' so check your files if you have any of her goodies under that name.

Rachel Jefferies is another "stumbled upon" designer that is now my go to for artsy layouts. I am loving all the collections she does with others as well as the M3. If it says her name- I check it out. Her designs are fun and make me happy! Score!

I didn't realize she was Captivated Visions and I had collected a few of her kits from her former shop.
Oh, wow! I didn't know that either! And I have several of her kits from another shop, also!! Does that mean we can use those kits here for the monthly challenges? I hope so because I really loved those kits!!

As long as they are being sold here! Check out your files and see if she has repacked them for sale here!! W00T!

Here's my challenge page - clocking in at just under 17 minutes.

Thank you for the free kit!

Wow, the pages here are amazing!!! I need to learn how to do this style, I'm terrible at it! I love Rachel's products! I purchased a couple more of her kits today. I've worked on this one all day, and I'm not pleased with my page, but I did try!!! I just opened the newsletter freebie and it is GORGEOUS! Thank you so much @rachel! I need to totally redo this page.

@Rachel Jefferies I did another page because I love Rachel's designs so much!

I've had a designer crush on Rachel ever since she joined The Lilypad. I didn't realize she was Captivated Visions and I had collected a few of her kits from her former shop. I have the privilege to guest for her this month and next -- I'm in digi heaven!!
Awww thank you Diane and it's a pleasure to have you with us the next few months!

Talk about versatile! I look through the layouts that have been posted, and find a little of everything. Rachel makes us all artsy! And thank you for the newsletter freebie. Such a pleasure to add more RJ goodies to my stash.
My pleasure!
Yes I agree, it's so much fun to see how everyone interprets the products and makes artful pages that are personal to them!
