I have definitely been bitten by the Traveler's Notebook (TN) bug. Some of you have been playing along with this size for awhile and some of you may have tried it for the first time with me while following along with my TN challenge for Christmas in July. Designers here at the pad have been making products in that size for awhile and I'm starting to see a lot more digi or hybrid scrappers -either making them, talking about them or wanting to try them out.

I have a few very inexpensive TN books from M's (bought with coupons) and I usually just print my digi page as is and then glue it into my real tangible TN insert with tape adhesive. I've also seen packs of TN size page protectors where you can print your TN pages that you make in digital format and then just insert the pages into the page protectors and slip them into a cover. But for those that want to play with this size but don't want to print and paste or print individual pages- wouldn't it be great to have a print company offer this size album?

I don't know of any, but thought maybe I'd ask if anyone did know of a company that does this. Anyone come across a company that will print an album in 4 x 8 (or similar skinny sizes)?

I keep hearing about this, and must google. Do you have pics of yours Jenn?

Sorry Jenn! I swear I had the Christmas in July TN challenge thread open at least 2 other times today trying to find some examples to show you - but today was crazy! Every time I tried to get back into this thread to answer you something grabbed my attention.

I linked the thread above for you. But here are some amazing examples of those that did their pages digi and then printed and added to a tangible TN.

@michele hillam made her own TN album - how awesome is this?

@lcpereyra has just the most stunning pages - I literally drooled over all of her work for this project. Here is just one example she shared as post #335 in that thread. (Lori I hope it is Ok I grabbed one of your photos to show the printed project - I don't think this was put in the gallery, Only your digi version.)

Even though I printed all my 10 days and put them in my TN (and added a few pages since then) I think I only shared this hybrid example in the gallery - I wanted to show the inexpensive TNs I found at M's and how they look printed and added to the insert pages. But at least you can see what they look like. Hope this helps Jenn!

Following!
I'm so obsessed with the Traveler Notebook trend but don't want to do hybrid or print individual pages. I love to do everything digital and print it out in a hard cover photobook format. Still waiting for a printing solution too!

In a local printer near me (in Vietnam) they have this kind of album but only in 20x30 or 30x40cm. I may ask if they can print in 10x20cm size (~ 4x8 inches).

You could always have the individual pages printed then bring them to Staples or such to have them spiral bound. Just a thought.

I'm also interested in this size, but only if I can print in a photo book. I can't have any more crafting messes sprouting up around the house. I've too many already!

LOL - I know what you mean about crafting messes. And once you start with them they seem to clone themselves!!!

I actually have a spiral binding system - I just don't use it often. Maybe it's time to polish up on how to use the darn thing! :giggle

Oh dear - what a mess! I had forgotten until I started doing these Pocket Letters and TN's again. I-yi-yi-yi!! I just got my final mess cleaned up for tomorrow. My husband always says, "Now I know why they call it "scrap" booking - there are scrap everywhere!" It's a messy business.
