Okay, I know - weird title?
We talk all the time about our favorites, but rarely about our least favorites! And what's Monday for, but destroying a favorite? (Get it? Monday destroys the weekend?:giggle #LameIKnow :disagree )

So, in honor of Monday, what's your least favorite (clean) word?
It could be one that people misuse, mispronounce, one that irritates you, or just one that makes your skin crawl.

Me? I hate literally. Because it is literally overused and I hate that the definition was changed to reflect the wrong usage! Argh.
Although, Rob Lowe made me laugh when he used it on Parks and Rec.

Don’t hate a word per say but it’s any word that I’ve butchered so much that even Spellcheck can’t figure it out, for a long while it was tertiary, just the other day it was curriculum vitae.

Also seeing versions of my last name being misswritten bugs me no end especially as it’s exactly the same spelling as the fast food chain. It’s either written as MacDonald, Macdonald, Mcdonald when it’s actually McDonald. The worst episode of totally screwing up my first name was when I was emailing a prospective employer about getting a job description - my name would have been visible at least twice but they still managed to turn Jennifer into Jana.....how on earth they managed that I have no idea. I only really jump up and down about it though if it’s going to end up on a permanent record somewhere.
 
Upholstery. I have the hardest time saying it, therefore I hate it. I cringe when my husband says "You look hot wife." It sounds so slimy. I also don't really like being called Jessica. Only my mom calls me that & she gets on my last nerve.
 
This is a great thread, Courtney! My dd and I have a list of phrases that drive us bonkers. "In or not in my wheelhouse", "at the end of the day", "clearly", "it is what it is", "my bad", "that's so one note" (they say it about food.

I think my personal "not favorite" is "my bad". It drive me batty! Oh, one more "you've got this".
 
UM --- I hate listening to interviews of some athletics nowadays since they can't talk with um being every other word.
