In 2011 I joined Pottermore and got sorted into Hufflepuff. Later I came across another sorting quiz and also got sorted in Hufflepuff. But the thing that confirms it most strongly is that Hufflepuff is the one I would have chosen for myself. My daughter Caroline also identifies as a Hufflepuff and has collected several items to wear to show that off. I think my daughter Rhiannon identifies as Slytherin, but I'm not sure; that might have changed. My husband is the only one of our family to not be very interested in Harry Potter beyond just reading the books once, so I can't remember if he ever took a quiz. My son was interested, but was still a preschooler at the height of our involvement in the Harry Potter world so he never got as obsessed with it as his older sisters.
I think it's neat how Rhiannon has called Harry Potter a classic. She doesn't consider herself to be in the fandom anymore, but she still highly respects all that is HP and thinks of the series as a model to her for all other literature she reads or stories she watches ever since.

She was nearly 6 when she asked us to read the first book to her. That was so convenient because that was in 2007, when the last book, Deathly Hallows, came out. So we were able to read the whole series in less than a year! Only she kind of lost interest in the middle of Deathly Hallows. But we re-read the whole series multiple times over the next several years and did lots of HP related stuff. For example, my girls learned to sing
Harry Potter in 99 Seconds and performed it for a couple of shows in our homeschool community.
@Karen I wouldn't glare at you for not reading the books, but I would want to make sure you understand how much you're missing. The movies are good in their own right but they leave out so much awesomeness from the books. Like Peeves the poltergeist. He's one of the best characters in the series!
