Bummer... There has to be a reason for this, I agree with many of the above, a better, great opportunity in your future.
@littlekiwi I've been praying extra for you today after I saw your post on Facebook. I know you are downcast right now, but know that you have your TLP family rooting for you!
Thanks Cheryl.....yesterdays meltdown was after months/years of trying to stay positive. I’ll be ok but it is hard to keep going and be positive when you’ve had over 200 no’s.
It really comes down to lack of relevant experience. I’m really in a rock and a hard place - need experience to get a job, need job to get experience.
So sad to read your news as I know how difficult it has been for you. There is a job there for you, I am sure. Keep trying.
One year ago my DSIL got That Call from the Dream Job people after going through a similar process you’ve just gone through. Then out of the blue, 8 months later, they called and offered him the job. He is over the moon with joy after having been about as low as one can get. I’m praying something similar will happen for you.
I know it's hard to stay positive, but I firmly believe there's a 'window' open somewhere that's going to make you happy! And of course, as Cheryl said, we're behind you all the way!
So sorry Jennifer, I was hoping this was the one. I get the field experience problem, I don't know how anyone gets past that one. I hope there is another vacancy on the horizon
Sorry Jennifer! Something will come along! Stay positive, I know its hard. But try. Like Cheryl and Serena said, we are behind you!
Thanks everyone, I’m back on the horse again - it was just months of frustration that came out in one go. The good news is I have two jobs that I will be applying for that have a total of 15 vacancies that close early next month (they are part of the team that my last interviewer had mentioned I’d be better suited to). They are for a brand new team that start in September/October and run through to mid 2020 but knowing that two similar projects in other areas have both been extended at least once gives me hope that it may be longer term.
