I love this story. What a day that zebra had - and what a struggle you have. This page immediately grabbed my eye because I think the zebra is also used for Mast Cell issues (or rare issues?). And that's what I'm going through right now. completely random aside - have you ever heard of HaTS (Hereditary Alpha Tryptasemia)? It's a genetic condition found around 2016....but it seems there's a lot of cross over with EDS, Pots, and Mast Cell issues for those who test positive for the genetic condition. I was dx in April with HaTS and now going through some other testing with some other things that could be related. I've often thought my daughter may be hypermobile and if she tests positive for HaTS, I'm going to look into EDS for her too. Long post on a beautiful page!
@tinkerbell1112 Oh wow... I had never heard of HaTS. That sounds awful. I'm glad you are getting tested for all of the things. My weird crossover stuff is mostly neurological and stomach, and I guess I'm thankful that I don't have to deal with the bad allergy stuff. It's crazy though how many different things can all be related. It's good that you can be a strong advocate for your daughter moving forward if she needs it. Big hugs!!!
@scrapsandsass Yeah, lots of crossover. I mentioned it only because it's new and rare and my immunologist said a lot of people he dx with certain things over the years when he pulls the genetics, they have it. So it's almost like "is it an answer to "why""? Anyway.... stay strong!
I just learned about the zebras relation to Ehlers Danlos after researching the condition to understand a friend's diagnosis. So, I'm touched by this page and think it's fabulous that you told this story. That was a crazy happening!
