- so the local schools have a year 5-7 portrait/art competition and it's usually held at one of the local art galleries with a 'come & see' evening - if his hadn't had 'winner' typed next to it, i wouldn't have believed him; this was the first i saw of it, he made it at school & school submitted it - we both know it's not his best work (yes, i'm terrible for saying it), we both thought there were many 'better' submissions shown on the website, but there you go, art's totally subjective because the judging panel (who i double checked that we didn't know any of) named his the winner in his year group.
