Journaling Reads:
For so many years I have run past this tree. It was along the trail, and at one time, it provided some much needed shade. Its bark had the most amazing texture. I don’t know what caused its demise, whether it was the drought or perhaps termites, but the once mighty oak is sadly no more. Perhaps it was the weight of its largest branch, but I will never know. When it fell over, forestry officials were very quick to move it off the path. The few remaining logs were left on the side of the trail. One of the logs housed a swarm of bees. Even in its demise, it gave life.
The story ending with the bees is just wonderful to me, as is your masking & organic & creative monochrome style page, full of natural textures & the warmth & beauty of wood
