My very favorite flower in the whole world and that's my favorite color! This touches my heart, Patsy. I love that you have the two different pictures. I always grew Day Lilies up north because they remind me of my grandmother.
@Cherylndesigns - thank you. Can you not grow Day Lilies in Florida?? I have two Rose of Sharon bushes which remind me of my mother and a peony bush which reminds me of the grandmother I never knew.
@flowersgal I tried to grow them the first year we moved down here and they just withered up and died. It's too hot and I guess they're too delicate. They're hardy things up north and mine came up for me year after beautiful year. I especially loved my orange ones like I said and I had yellow ones too. Grandma always called the yellow ones "Lemon Lilies". She had gorgeous Iris too of every color you could imagine. Sigh
Isn't it wonderful to have flowers/bushes that remind us of our loved ones?
@Cherylndesigns - I know what you mean about growing zones. There are several "southern" plants I love and have brought home only to see them die in this climate.
