***A Series Of Layouts I'm Creating About Grief,Depression & Pain As A Way To Try To Heal...I Call It My Scrapbooking Therapy...Reflections About Grief...Stage 4 Cancer That took My Beloved Ray Away from Me...And my Ongoing recovery from My Own Near Fatal Accident,Broken Neck & Arm,Permanent Neuropathy In My Legs & Feet...***

***If you want to Read The Rest of the Story & My Reflections About This Layout...Here's The Link In The Style Challenge Thread : https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/august-style-challenge.89188/page-3#post-1544983

My layout here today...is about me trying to navigate my daily life...How to find a way to move forward & to try to grapple with all of my deep sadness, pain & depression...I still question why this happened to my beloved Ray...With no cancer in his family...How did he get Stage 4 Cancer...& pass away in just 9 days???...I guess I will never know the answers...Maybe it's not healthy to keep pondering on these questions?...I'm just trying to figure out how to grieve...how to cope...& how to understand grief & how will I ever get through it...I am waiting for an appointment to see a grief councilor now...I know it will be hard for me to do this...but I really need someone to talk to...Someone who is trained in grief counseling...So,as I continue to just try to get through each day as it comes...Here is my layout...

***I slanted all the pieces of my layout to the left...[except my background papers...that is...]...Even the 4 Butterflies that you see adjacent in 4 spots...to my large layout cluster...***
Thank You! for this challenge...

I'm really sorry about all that you are going through, I know that there's not much to say about dealing with grief and pain and depression...I've been on a similar road, dealing with depression and anxiety, and the only thing I can tell you is that time, meds and therapy can help. I love tht you are scrapbooking as therapy, I do that a lot as well!! hang in there, my dear!!

This page is truly a work of art and love. You've perfectly shown all of your emotions in this page. It's beautiful and bittersweet. Hang in there, my prayers are with you.

This is a beautiful and moving piece of art. It shows your grief and really captures the mood. I'm so sorry for your beloved Ray's passing.

The repetition here and that concentric circle motif base is used really well and as always your layering is wonderful which may sound like trite comments on just the superficial aspect of this page but I also hope these pages continue to help you process everything that happened so quickly - I don't know how I would deal with such devastating loss and I'm so sorry you are going through it

Congratulations on the POP honor. Your pages never cease to amaze me so you are deserving of every award in my book. I love how you express yourself with each and every page and I hope the scrap therapy is helping. I love how you used a big circle for this month’s tilt challenge; it makes me want to scrap in a circle ASAP. Hugs to you and good luck with the grief counseling.

@bellbird OMG! Thank You! so very much!!!...This is so surprising & so unexpected!...It has been a long time since I have had a POP!!!...https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/august-2023-pride-of-the-pad-gif.89320/#post-1545217 ...This just makes me smile...& warms my fragile heart...:bk:bk:bk ...:heartslub :heartslub :heartslub ...

Sometimes I don't really know what to write in this little blurb bit before a POP award, and sometimes I try to let the gif speak as in art journalling when we don't have the words, we can use imagery to convey meaning.
I think we all know our hobby and our community is fairly unique in terms of how much and what we share of our lives in our art and not all of it is warm and fuzzy or joyous, but we always hope our community benefits from sharing the opposite extreme of harder, heartbreaking and dark times as well.
This week's POP award and our continued sympathies go to RJMJ

Well deserved and while some of your pages have made me cry (they are just that full of emotion that i can't help it), i am glad to hear this made you smile :glomp

You continue to inspire me with your courage, and beautiful art work in tribute to your beloved Ray. Congratulations on the Pride of the Pad award. It is well deserved. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Rhonda. Much love to you. :beat
