Description
I totally understand. We had five and a bit years of caring (with about 2 years almost full-time care from family which nearly broke us all) for my grandmother who had dementia

Ellen, you are a shining example for all of us. Caring for and watching a loved one go through this is simply devastating, and now you are facing it again.
I know that scrapbooking has helped me through many dark times in my life, and I hope you find strength and comfort in it too. Thank you for being so open and vulnerable in sharing your story—it truly matters. My heart goes out to you.

This is exactly what this was for. You are so incredibly strong! Sending you all my love & also all my thanks for your openness & honesty!

We see you, Ellen. I know there is so much stretching out before you since you don't know how long the decline will last. I can only imagine the overwhelm. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing this page with us.

Oh dear Ellen! This is a devastating disease. I hope you are reaching out to your community for help. It is so important to take time for yourself to recharge. This is where the "in sickness & health" part of marriage kicks in. Not an easy task at all. You can freely spill out your frustrations and overwhelm here. We are all here to support you mentally at least.

Seeing this page...brought me to tears...You are so brave and strong to scrap this page for all of us to see...After just losing my dear husband to terminal brain cancer just 2 years next month...The tumor took his personality away until he didn't know who or where he was or who some of us were...The pain of watching him go through that...reminds me of what you are facing...You are brave and strong my dear...I always scrap about my emotions...My grief layouts helped me in ways I cannot explain...Sending you hugs and much support...:heartlub...

@EllenT my heart goes out to you! I have lived through this with my mom - seeing the spouse struggle the most despite anyone else’s intentions and help. I worry about myself or my husband having it someday so you are living my nightmare. I hope scrapping can give you a mental holiday of scrap therapy. We are here and I do care. It must be so much harder to have him in denial. :( big hugs and prayers. I’m not sure where you live but there are some resources through Medicare like a carer to bathe him when that time comes to promote keeping him at home and help prevent caregivers from burning out. My FIL also suffered this awful disease and these services were so helpful! Thank you for sharing and your page is so poignant in the b&w
