"2 August 2018
Looking out the kitchen window the Coopers Hawk was perched on the fence post. This bird and the Peregrine Falcon symbolizes Mom to me. The day she passed in 1990, my Landlord’s Peregrine flew off never to return. When we got the bag of cards from the funeral home there was a Peregrine feather in the bottom fold of the bag. Definitely spiritual for me."

      I just read your journaling and am in agreement. Shortly after my mom passed, we were working in the yard and I was picking up branches under one of our Burr oaks. I recall a butterfly that landed on me. I would shake it off, it would return... Later that evening, a massive branch fell off of that 300 year old tree, it would have killed me. I am 100% sure that it was my mother warning me.

      Beautiful layout, great work on the hawk!

      @mcurtt Thank you Marilyn! I agree and I always watch for those signs.. I know my Dad is here in the house with me I get signs from him all the time too! I am so glad you went inside before that branch came down! It is funny.. I really think they are our angels and are with us always. XO thank you for the beautiful comments :) XO

      WOW, Christa! What an amazing LO! First, that photo and the accompanying photo treatment are fantastic. I long to get such a wonderful close-up of a hawk. Second, your journaling is so poignant. I don't believe in coincidences, so the disappearance of the hawk and the appearance of the feather at the bottom mailbag is remarkable. Love the pocket effect as well. A totally fabulous LO and beautiful capture of your memory of your mother.

      @jazzmatazz Thank you Tracy for your beautiful comments. I really enjoyed making this page and had fun too with the sketch effect. The hawk was only about 30 feet from my window and was there for about 10 minutes turning on the post as if posing for me, stretching it's wings, cleaning its bill etc. I have at least 20 photo and then he popped to the crepe myrtle next to the fence and I got one there. Yes I believe in that. I have many of those types of encounters and I so believe in my angels. Hugs and thank you so much Tracy for your sweet words :) They mean a lot to me.
