There are things in everyday life that I will do without from time to time: laundry. Every day the same thing: have you put your laundry in the basket? Have you emptied your pockets? Did you give away your mask? From Monday to Sunday he takes care of the laundry.
Well, when the equipment is working, it's fine, it does it. But when the equipment starts to get tired, it's a completely different story... And that's my story of the last few days...
I don't have a big family, there are four of us at home (not counting the animals) and yet the washing machine runs every day, sometimes twice a day. But for the last few weeks my friend has been washing it and he has been showing signs of weakness. Finally, it's showing itself by making more and more noise when spinning. The man of the house looked at the mechanics and said that maybe I was loading a bit too much. I admit that sometimes I pack a little bit because it really doesn't miss much. So since December, I've been doing my regular machines in two stages: the first machine is done at night, I collect the wet laundry to put it to dry the next morning and I send the next cycle.
But not this morning... When I woke up my son told me he heard strange noises in the garage. Yes, that's where my washing machine is. And as it was around 6:30 he wasn't wide awake and thought the cats had dropped something. I must have slept well because I didn't hear anything. My man had also heard some suspicious noises. He thought about the washing machine but nothing more.
8.30 am: everyone is dressed, I am about to send the new machine cycle. But when I took out the laundry that had been washed in the night, it was full of little white deposits and the drum was making a really nasty noise. I decide not to start a new cycle and call my man for his opinion. He confirms that it's good not to reuse the machine and that I should call the after-sales service.
8.58 am: I come back from driving M to school. I look for the papers and the hotline number and call. For more than an hour I call, but I can't get through to anyone. Each time, the same refrain: "all our counsellors are busy, please renew your call...".
1.16 pm: still having no one to talk to, I take my laundry and go to the launderette. Because in all this story, my jumpers and trousers are always dirty. In my misfortune, I'm lucky because there are several laundries, one of which I can wait in the car and I don't need to add cleaning product because it's automatic. Half an hour later my clothes are washed.
6.04pm: my man is back from work and tries to call the hotline. He is luckier than me, he has someone who takes note of our problem and opens a file for repair. But she doesn't offer an appointment for an intervention at home. She just takes note. And we're left in the dark. We have to wait for someone to call us back for an appointment, but in how long? mystery... No machine loan has been offered, no deadline has been announced. So I'll have to go to the launderette every day while waiting for someone to come and fix it or change it...
The year is starting well...
