Living out in the country, for the first time in my life, makes me happy. We're even in a temporary (small) lake house, waiting for our home to be finished. But this still makes me happy. My stress level has gone WAY down since moving here.

Oh, I didn't realize that this wasn't your "forever" home that you are building. Sounds like a pleasant way to wait. So glad your stress level has gone down -- sitting still by water will often do that I think. Glad you are enjoying your new country life.
@flowersgal Thanks, Patsy. No, our forever home is about a month away from being completed. We're enjoying our little lake house in the meantime, though. I can see the fishing lake from my house and you're right, any water is soothing.
I've added a lot of pictures to my album - are you getting updates?
@bellbird Well, you're kind of right - we moved to Florida several years ago, but a year and a half ago, we needed a bigger house to accommodate a growing grandson and a daughter who lived with us. We moved into a great big house, then they moved out. It was just the 2 of us and the dog rattling around in it. This Oklahoma move has been in the works for about 3 years. LOL
@bellbird Thanks, Justine. Things actually happened several months ahead of schedule. But that's okay - we just rolled with it and now we're here. Most of the family will eventually be here - we bought 50 acres and we're all going to live on it.
