- Before we left Macedonia I asked all of the cooks in the family to write down their favorite traditional Macedonian recipes. I knew that we could always Google the dishes when we wanted a reminder of home, but a handwritten recipe somehow seemed like preserving his culture for future generations, even if in a small way.
