I walked you to school this morning, something I don’t get to do often due to my work load. It was a special treat for the both of us. You got to show me around your classroom and I got to chit-chat with your special-ed teacher. Your teacher told me how proud of you he was. He explained how you have been being picked on by this punky kid in your math class and how instead of punching the kid in the head, like you normally do, how you have been using your words instead! For anyone who knows you; knows this is huge. Your normal urge is to swing with both firsts. I am so proud of you for using your words instead and standing up for yourself that way. Violence is not always the answer! The teacher went on to say how well you are doing in your classes and how you are exceling beyond your grade level in math. This makes my heart sing. He also gave you great praise about joining the 7th grade football team and following instructions from the couch without a battle. What strives you have made in this past year. Keep climbing my sweet boy. I am so proud of you
