Journaling:
Spring 1964.. Down near Commack Rd & the Deer Park Airport, was a place we went for pony rides. At the time of this photo, Gene was already on the pony and I was not very happy having to wait. I had the “pouty” face on and so Mom came over to me. I wanted to know when it was going to be my turn! Mom looks like she is telling me the facts of life and that all good things come to those that wait. When I finally got to ride I was a happy girl!

This center photo means more to me than anyone knows. Christmas of 1989 my parents had the slide made into a poster size photo. It did not arrive in time for Christmas (while I visited my parents in FL) and was being sent to me at my apt. in NY. It is my favorite photo of my Mom and I. Mom passed away a month after Christmas (Jan. 25, 1990) and I recieved it about a week before her passing. My BFF's father made a gorgeous wooden frame for it, and I had the glass cut special for it. Since then, it has had it's special place in my/our bedroom over our bed. When I was getting married, I had a photo taken of me in my wedding dress with the photo on the wall behind me.. It is a cherished time & memory in my life. ***Note: My hubby never saw the photo I put in the page here with my brother on the pony, although he knew the story, he didn't know this picture of Gene existed, AND he says I still make that same face when I don't get my way LOL
Thank you Monica @umyesh and Heather @HeatherB for this wonderful challenge! I really enjoyed it!
I decided I go for this one last, because not just is the day challenge, but is the more personal, the one that has you, the one that (at least to me) identifies you in every way possible.... there is so much I want to say....I will come back to say, but I am almost crying with emotion, and I can imagine you pouting when you don't get your way LOL I will come back because there is SO MUCH to say about this AWESOME page!!!!! but now, before someone else beats me....
What a great series of photos telling your story: from the pout because your brother was on the pony to the central photo with your mom talking to you (it is a really wonderful photo), to the final shot of a happy girl on the pony. I like the OK beads decorating the final photo. Congrats on the FF.
