In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
What a lovely tribute page to Lieutenant Colonel John McRae (one of Canada's finest, no question...). McRae, with his evocative poem, is the reason why we wear poppies in November.
I love poppies too! they are so vibrant and beautiful. your page is SO patriotic and I love the deep, rich magical layers here - I feel like I can touch the textures in this page. I love how you blended so many symbols together!!!

You absolutely rocked this challenge! The red, white, and blue drew me in right away. I love how you repeated the flag. I loved learning about your favorite flower the poppy. I love that you scrap a page for Canada Day each year. Wonderful page!
