1c butter
2 lbs brown sugar
1 c milk
1.5 c peanut butter
2 t vanilla
2 lbs 10x powdered sugar
Melt the butter in a 4-5 quart pot, then stir in the brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil; boil and stir for 2 minutes.
Move off the burner and mix in the peanut butter and vanilla. Grab your stiffest spoon, add the powdered sugar, and stir until your arm is ready to fall off. There will still be lumps. Think of them as small, sweet clouds to melt on your tongue as you eat.
Pour into a buttered 15 x 9 pan - and be warned, it is hot. Trying it now will be like eating lava. Sweet, sweet lava. Allow to set up before cutting - the fridge will speed up the process, so you don't have to wait as long to wreck your teeth or calorie count.
What a great recipe and page! I haven't made fudge in years! I especially love the red checked paper behind it, it looks like a tablecloth spread over a timber table! Beautifully done!
