I love the story of this hike (that I read on your other layout)- so cool that your kids went along with you to retrace your steps!

I'm a huge fan of mixed pocket page/regular layout albums, and I love seen other scrappers' takes on this format!

@scrappyjedi me too - I do like to do 'regular' scrapping from time to time, but so often I have SO many photos that I don't want to exclude. But to do a non-pocket page for each of the photos I want to include - I just don't think I could actually do it. Sometimes the story is just more cohesive when the 2 approaches are combined. A lot of times I will do a scrapped page as almost like a cover page for the whole story, and then fill in behind it with pocket pages to tell the whole story.
