Journaling: We were buying hot pink hair dye for my hair and my grandson said, "Old ladies maybe shouldn't have bright pink hair." I gave him THE LOOK. At home a few days later as we were dyeing my hair, "Gammie, old ladies do't look good if they have bright pink hair in the middle of their forehead, but when they do it at the back like you are, it looks really good."
He had obviously been thinking about it and wanted to make up for his comment a few days later.
