October Monthly Muse Week 2

Description
Here is Ona's criteria for this challenge:
1. Tell me what you like (or dislike) about this particular season (You can use journaling or just some word art). I used journaling - I journaled in a circle and talked about how I was unsure of what cold weather would be like after all of our years in Florida.
2. CHOOSE a colour palette that YOU feel represents this particular season for YOU. (For instance, you may like to scrap an autumn page using blue and purple because YOU like it.) I chose shades of gray to represent winter.
3. Include a texture(s) or geometrics shape(s) that represent this particular season for YOU. I used lots of gesso texturing to mimic frost/ice. I also used circles that represent the swirling of wind and snow.

Credits: LBW_Countdown_pp and elements; SahlinStudio_textonapath_classic circle; LBW_BB_MME_bor08; LBW_M3Sep20_gesso; vw_sprinklesfoundation_pearlbeads. Journaling: "I honestly don't know what to expect this winter. It's been a long time since I've had to deal with ice and snow. We're being told that the winters here aren't too bad."
This is beautiful - winters are not too bad this far north - most days are fine and then we have our icy/snowy day or two and then it melts off. Hopefully you’ll manage. Love all the circles and textures

@Donitab Thanks so much, Donita! That's encouraging news! That's what everybody tells us. I know they won't be like "Michigan winters". You just made me feel a lot better. :)

Fabulous page Cheryl! and yes, totally understand your sentiments, our old place on the Australian mainland was located in the sub-tropics and heat was just way too much for me, especially the humidity. That was the biggest reason for moving down south to Tasmania......... having been here two years now I really LOVE the cooler climate, I just feel so very different! :) Back to your page :) I love how you did the journaling and circles to represent the swirling wind and snow is spot on! Gorgeous shades of grey as well. Stunning layout!

This Is So BEAUTIFUL!...I LOVE! The Starkness! Of It IE Depicting A Cold Winter!...I Hope You Fare Well This Winter Too!...Our Winters Here,However...Are Usually Very Cold! & Brutal!...UGH!...& They Always Last Way Too LONG...HERE Anyway!!!...LOL!...But I Digress!...Just For A Moment!...Despite That...I Still LOVE! Winter's Haunting Beauty!...And Photos Too!...You Have Depicted It Perfectly Here Though!...I Got A SHIVER!...Just Looking At It!...But In This Case...That Is A GOOD Thing!!!...LOL!...:bk...

@wombat146 I love your comments, Ona. I had an awful time with the high heat index and most of all, the humidity! I really have felt better since moving here, even though I know it's going to get cold. I think all that constant heat and humidity was dragging me down. I had NO idea how I was going to be able to express "winter", so I just started with the color gray (thanks for that prompt). I remember all of the swirling snow, so the circles came next. This challenge was perfect for me and allowed me to work through my fears of the cold weather coming. My Florida (thinned) blood is not ready for a big change yet, but it's coming. - 32 degrees tonight. Brrrrrrrrr.

@RJMJ Thank you for your wonderful comments, RJMJ! I always love reading them! Our Michigan winters were very bad, too, not necessarily brutal, thankfully. I always loved the beauty of winter, as well. I have lots of "winter pictures" from our years there. I'm so happy that I was able to put on "paper" the color and the starkness of winter.

This is SO well done! Why is it that your beautiful LO's always call to me in the gallery? I hope your new winter has more blue skies than grey.

@Electra You're so sweet, Electra. Yours do the same for me. Thanks for the blue skies wish. I'm sure the beautiful blue skies here will hang around even in the winter. I love this thought! :bk
