My journaling: When you were little, you had the chance to go on a pony ride during a little trip to Maplewood Farm. Chris and Alicia both tried it, but nothing - not even mommy walking alongside the pony - was going to convince you to try.
I still don’t know what made you change your mind later. While living in West Kelowna, you had the opportunity to attend therapeutic riding, and you loved it! You had met Laine and Curtis through a Pokemon card club. It is a bit
ironic that these new friends also happened to have an Autism Spectrum Disorder and would later also decide to go to therapeutic riding. Curtis would only go if he was in the same session as you. You might not think of yourself as a leader, but in many ways you were the ringleader in this group.
Since we moved to Courtenay, you have continued with therapeutic riding. I am so proud of you for trying out new things and finding an activity that you love (especially one that you don’t share with your siblings), but also for keeping up your friendships even after we moved.
