Van Gogh 1853-1890​
During his 10 active years, Van Gogh painted 900 works. One of the most popular is "Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers" (Arles, Jan. 1889) (left). The only painting he ever sold was "The Red Vineyard" (Arles, Nov. 1888) (right). His last painting was "Wheat Fields With Crows" (Auvers-Sur-Oise July 1890) (middle). He painted many self-portraits, including the one backing his paintings (Saint-Remy, Sept. 1889). My favorite Van Gogh is used as the background, "Starry Night" (Saint Remy-June 1889)
