I decided to do my layout on the process of making my not-so-good photo ready for scrapping.
JOURNALING: I am absolutely obsessed with the Canada Goose, even though they are as common as robins around here. When I saw this gaggle wandering around the fairgrounds, I HAD to take the picture. However, when I decided to use it in a layout, I found that those trucks and trailers peeking up in the background were a distraction, not to mention the telephone poles/wires. I decided to just crop the picture to feature only the geese. When I used the marquee tool in PSE to give me a nice rectangular crop, I still had some of the background because the “horizon” line was tilted. I cut off a triangle-shaped sliver from the bottom and pasted it over the offending section. A little more cropping at the bottom, one tiny “clone,” and some brightening and I had a picture I could use.

I love how you explained your process, and the resulting shot is terrific! I don't get to see Canadian geese up close too often where I am, but one time when I was driving in South Dakota, one flew across the the road just inches from my windshield! Scared the heck out of me! LOL Fun page! Thanks for playing!
Such a creative take on the challenge. I think they are beautiful birds, we have quite a few of them wild here in NZ after 50 birds were brought here in 1905.
