I got a real kick out of reading this book: a "normal" girl who, to get away from her problems and addictions, decides to do the Pacific crest trail alone, with no walking experience whatsoever. This book is a real life lesson: funny, sad, you go through all kinds of feelings as you follow her on the PCT. Cheryl Strayed makes us want freedom and to surpass ourselves! I've watched the film several times too. Her story is so inspiring. I often think of her when I'm out on the trails myself! or when I'm feeling a bit down and want to drop everything!
