I encountered a wonderful man a couple of years ago. He was an elderly veteran who sat by the curb off the street in front of Walmart. I stopped by one day to donate some money to him. His name was Al. He was so appreciative, and he thanked God and me. He quoted many scriptures and gave God all of the glory. Every time I went to Walmart, I would look for him and give him a donation. He would have the biggest smile on his face. This went on for months and months. Then one day I didn’t see him sitting out there. I never saw him again. I always prayed for him. I wish I had taken a photo of him. A lady on my neighborhood website asked if anyone had seen Al. I commented back to her that I hadn’t. I really do miss him. Bless his heart. I pray that he is taken care of somewhere or that he is with God. I thank God that He placed Al in my life and that He gave me so many opportunities to help him. He was such a blessing to me.
