Handwritten journaling on photo:
"This sweet doe was so tame and came up to us while we were photographing the landscape and St. Kevin’s Church at Glendalough (which is a Monastic site in Co. Wicklow, Ireland.) I was amazed how close she came up to us and was patiently posing for me as I captured this. Just beautiful. I love nature and am so drawn to it. Maybe because I was born under the Earth sign, I gravitate to browns and greens of the foliage and nature."

Internet information written at bottom of page from irishstone.org:
"The legend has it that one of the men who was working at the building of the monastery came to St. Kevin's because his wife had died giving birth to
his son. The workman asked St. Kevin's for help in feeding this poor infant. So Kevin prayed for having help from above. His prayers were granted and
every morning a doe would come the monastery and would leave some milk in the hollow of this stone for the baby, and the hollow would never run dry.
I think that a distortion of the word "doe" gave the stone the name "deer". (irishstones.org)"
