This glass icicle is the only ornament I have left from when I was a child. It has a special place in our Christmas tree every year and I fondly remember the moments from my childhood decorating the tree with my grandfather. I hope Vlad will keep it too, along with the memories of family Christmas holidays. Family memories are treasured heirlooms.
this is awesome in every way possible!!! I hope it keeps continuing, Sarita keeps a few of the things that we have at home, it means a world to me! The page is gorgeous, perfect the way you scrapped it, but that is no news, always love you!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for playing with us!!!
Oh Roxana, this is beautiful and gorgeous. I love that you have that special ornament from childhood and the memories that go with it. I know Vlad will keep it, as you say family memories definitely are treasured heirlooms. I love how you scrapped this Roxana, the photo treatment along with the wintery elements to accent your framed ornament is beautiful! Thank you for playing along with my heirloom challenge. This is wonderful!
@MrsPeel , always a pleasure when you stop by. Love you too! I really hope Vlad will keep too some of the things to remember the love and the good times, but the boys are not so sentimental, and this new generation is so different... Who knows...
@cfile, at first I was a bit scared of this challenge, because most of the things that could have been used for this are still in my grandmother's house. But then I remembered the little ornament and that I did took a picture of it after decorating the tree. I really love it, and I hope Vlad will keep it too. Thank you for your beautiful words and for this chance to remember my grandfather.
@Roxana ... this generation is indeed difficult to understand at times...but, how old is Vlad? I found out that boys start to get sentimental and treasure stuff like this after they passed their early 20s..... so, you keep whatever you have that you treasure, make pages about it.....you may be surprised that they will thank you later in life!!!!
I'm a bit of a hoarder in general, but though Sarita would critique me 10 years ago (like "muhuuuuum are you going out in THOSE trousers, am not going with you!!!" or said she was against animal print (she thought it was Taki when she was 14....) and a lot of similar stuff.... 5/7/10 years alter...she was borrowing those trousers, asking for the animal print leggings, oh I could write a book about this kind of thing! I know boys are different....but also have seen some of my cousins kids change after their 2os, and some of my friends are still crying for having thrown out some stuff because they boys asked for it later in life....so, keep ALL you want, they will surprise you
