@KellyM I scrap with paintshop pro, I used a b&w photo, effects - edge effects - high pass with radius at 50, then effects - artistic effects - posterize with levels at 5. This layer I use blending mode hard light. Then I added paint elements and played with the blending modes of those layers and then I used the eraser a bit.
