I noticed the Just Mercy book in your journal and read your entry. I did not read the book, but saw the movie and it is incredibly sad, so hard to believe people treat other people that way. I like your journal - so nice and neat - I couldn't be that neat if somebody paid me. And is that your actual bookmark? So cool. :)

@Lillyia Thanks! My AAUW (American Association of University Women) group chose that for an all-branch read. As the chair of our Social Justice group I volunteered to lead the 1st discussion group. It was one of the most difficult books to get through because it is so gut-wrenching. I tear up just thinking about the people who have been so unjustly treated by the (in)justice system in the USA for so many years. Our group is determined to make a difference and advocate for a more just and merciful system.
