JOURNALING:
These seem like nice people who just moved in. Another couple, like the previous owners. Looks like one of them loves music and the other likes pictures. That hurt a bit when she hung them!
What's this? The've brought someone new! A smaller version of themselves!
Well, she's cute. Seems harmless. Just gnaws on toys, tears up newspapers, and makes nonsense sounds. Wait! She's learning to move. She is crawling everywhere! Is that why they covered the fireplace? An now they brought home another creature!
So much for the quiet days when it was just the man and woman. Now there are always toys scattered around, they play loud music and dance in circles, the bigger of the young creatures sometimes writes on me (hmmph!) and they're bringing home even more small people! These ones don't stay though. They all seem to have so much fun! They like to put on costumes and tell imaginative stories together.
They seem to be keeping this new creature. They're all so busy playing and exploring when they're home. It's really sweet how they play together.
Lately the original female has been rearranging the furniture a lot. She doesn't seem to ever be satisfied. Oh! What's this goopy stuff they're rolling onto me? Wow! It's kind of pretty. How refreshing! And they seem to be getting neater too. Less toys strewn around. I was worried when they ripped up the carpet -- would they rip at me too? -- but the wood planks are pretty. I wish I could join them when they play games like Scotland Yard, Clue, and Munchkin.
I was pleased the pictures were not hung up again. But I only had a couple years of wholeness. Now she has poked me with several nails. The picture above the fireplace is especially heavy, made of wood!
Those young creatures have grown so much!
I've enjoyed seeing and hearing the girls practice their songs and dances.
I've watched so many birthdays, Thanksgivings, and Christmases. I wonder what the future will bring?
