Journaling: Defending Men’s Champion, Max Aaron had a little trouble in Boston. The twenty-one year old had planned to start his short program with a quad Salchow/triple Toeloop – he made the quad, but completed only a double Toeloop still scoring over 13 points for that element alone. He was only about a half point behind Jason Brown who didn’t have a quad, but whose artistry on the ice easily outnumbered Max. His free skate to Carmen, choreographed by Lori Nichol, included two quads and six triples. He easily outscored everyone in “Executed Elements”, but it was his 4th place ranking in “Program Components” that kept him off the top step on the podium. He was able to rise one step, taking the silver medal.
