it's taken a lot of years (53, actually) for me to feel comfortable in my own skin. but one of the things i have actually enjoyed about getting older is that my give a s*^t has gone way down. i am less concerned about what others think of me. i am more willing to speak my mind. i am more accepting of what i consider to be my "faults" or weaknesses. i am okay with not being perfect. i give myself more grace and forgiveness. and with this acceptance and grace comes something of a mental peace, and a sense of emotional release. so while i can't say that i am aging gracefully in all aspects, i am loving my new-found mental maturity, and the realization that no one has to believe in me more than i believe in myself.

Love your journaling...wish we could all get there at a younger age, but it does seem to take time. Love your photo and the way you've "matted" in with mixed media.

awwwwww my sweet girl!!!!!!!!!!! this is SO SO gorgeous, all together, every part of this makes me so happy... the beauty of your page, your always shining elegance, the gorgeous masking of the photo, the perfection of those shadows, the delicate cluster on the top is so perfectly shadows that one wants to reach to touch... love that you chose to go B& white with the photo and great choice of colors, the journaling is so beautiful, very truthful -been there, done that, got the t-shirt LOL- you are so beautiful inside and out, I have to say, to me, you have always been very very close to perfect....!!!! I learned bits about you over the past 10 years and with every bit love you a bit more... you have been HUGE support to me also, in the past 3 years especially...so seeing this , the visual part we are used to, your gorgeous pages, and this one comes with an emotional content that makes me very very happy
