journaling :
The kestrel is a bird of prey from the falcon family.
The kestrel lives mainly on small mammals, birds and insects such as mice, songbirds and beetles. Kestrels have extra cones in their retina so that they can not only distinguish the main colors (green, blue, red), but also ultraviolet colors. Urine traces of mice illuminate ultraviolet. Kestrels can therefore clearly detect where the mice were recently active. Once they have the mice in sight, they dive into it.
Welcome to the Lily Pad!!! Your page is so beautiful and great photos you have taken. I love the Kestrels and hawks as well as the Peregrine Falcon. We have a Cooper's Hawk that visits me regularly and I often make pages of that as well. Your photos are wonderful and work so well using Lynn's template.. Beautiful!
