Description
I had the privilege of getting to know the hugely talented @Armygrl Lisa a little better for the Interview Challenge. (MOC 2021 Day 23.) We both joined The Lilypad in 2012. Lisa is the newest Polly here at The Pad, and she describes her style as eclectic. I loved looking through Lisa’s gallery, and learning more about her through her art and the interview questions. Her gallery is amazing, and definitely worth a visit! Between Lisa and I, we managed a combined 849 words! Since we were both very chatty, I decided to spread my layout over two pages. Thank you, Lisa, for your inspiration and help with this challenge.

Lisa's Interview:
Tell us a bit about yourself, your name, username, and what year you joined The Lily Pad.

Hi! I am Lisa, Armygrl throughout the digital scrapbooking community. I joined TLP almost nine years ago, September of 2012. I am a Soldier, 24 years strong but looking to retire soon. Donald and I married 29 Feb 2016, we have one doghter, Maggie.

What was going on in 2012 in your life and in your scrapbooking pages?

I became a Commissioned Officer for the US Army in 2012. I was in a different marriage and in the latter half of that year, I was stationed in Korea. Back then I used a lot of selfies to capture the “right now” moments of places I’d been in Korea and when I first arrived to Ft. Leonard Wood in fall of 2013. I was going for Clean and Simple styled layouts.

What was the first layout you posted at TLP? Tell us about that layout. Why did you scrap it? What did it mean to you?

The first layout I posted at TLP was “Wake Up Sleepy Head.” I made a simple, cascading art journal layout depicting my typical morning routine of having to get up very early to do physical training, but not wanting to get up and hitting the alarm clock many, many times in protest. I guess some things have not changed.

Why did you join TLP?

I was very attracted to Paislee Press, One Little Bird and Sara Gleason styled kits. I would say the Digital Designers attracted me, but I was always impressed with the community vibe at TLP and wide variety of layouts community members were posting.

Has your scrapping style evolved or changed since 2012? Or do you have a signature style you tend to stick to?

You would never know it by looking at the layouts I posted in TLP in 2012 - 2013, but I was more of a digital artist and art journaler rather than scrapbooker. I made lots of Art Journal styled layouts back then and followed Tangie Baxter in the Art Journal Caravan. But what drew me into the TLP was a more traditional, Clean and Simple style layout. I wanted to make art and make scrapbooking layouts. Over the years, I have remained eclectic in my style(s)!!! I love them all!!!

Oh I loved the interview! I love the questions you asked and I love her replies.
Again... I think you nailed this challenge. So fun that you got a "partner in crime" for this challenge. Beautifully done, as always!

@Saar Thank you Sarah! I loved having @ArmyGrl Lisa for a partner in this challenge. All credit for the interview questions and idea to include both our first layouts must go to Lisa. It was her idea. I am really pleased with how this turned out. :)
