I love your take on the Air challenge! And, if I may say, one of the great things about art journaling is ANY style is welcome. It makes my heart happy when others resonate with a theme and make something personal to them. And this reminding you of your grandson, and bringing a smile to your face, is the best reason for having the Monthly Muse.
Your AJ page is whimsical and fun! And I think with the kite, the bugs, and birds, and soft Spring colors, you truly nailed the Air theme.
Thank you, @ArmyGrl. Your comments are always so encouraging, thoughtful and insightful, which I appreciate. I must say it was quite a freeing experience to just go with the flow of creating rather than forcing my work, as I sometimes do. I am glad you invited us to share our thought process this week; it added more quality to the overall experience for me. Thank you.
I love your take on this challenge! It's very unique and makes me smile as I love anything about kites. Love that poem, too. I remember that song too, from when my children were little. They must have sung it on Sesame Street, I can't remember right now.
@Cherylndesigns Thank you, Cheryl. That song comes from Disney's Mary Poppins. I agree, it's quite a different take. The funny thing is that I have been attempting to develop a more abstract approach, but the more I try that, the more I seemed pulled right back to a more paper scrapping approach. That makes me laugh at the tug of war within.
