Great idea for a challenge. I did a deep dive on my love of cruise ships. Here is my journaling incase it's too small -
I only discovered cruising 3 years ago. I have always loved cruise ships, infact I love ships and I am a naval history buff. I can bore you to death about ships, their origins, tonnage, age, etc.
I’m often found on cruises poking my nose into conversations that are about the details of the ships.. I am sure that is annoying, but I can’t help myself, and I love the ships so much, I want to share my knowledge and make others love the ships themselves, and not just the vacation and fun they offer.
It’s a bit odd, but it didn’t occur to me how many cruise ships I would see when cruising.
For me, this is one of the best bits of being in port. I am a loyal Royal Caribbean girl, but I love to see ships from other companies. They are all so different.
In these photos, you can see 15 different ships. I have been on 7 cruises (8 & 9 coming later this year) and 6 ships - Carnival Paradise, Allure of the Seas, Grandeur of the Seas (my fave), Serenade of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas, and Enchantment of the Seas (8 & 9 will also be on her).
Here is the list of the ships in the photos -
Left photo strip: 1: Carnival Valor, Carnival Sunrise. 2: Carnival Venezia 3: Carnival Conquest. 4: MSC Seascape, Anthem of the Seas,
Allure of the Seas. 5: Liberty of the Seas.
Right photo strip: 1: Enchantment of the Seas. 2: Grandeur of the Seas - she is my fave ship and the oldest in the fleet. 3: Mein Schiff,
Wonder of the Seas, P&O Britannia, 4: Carnival Glory. 5: Grandeur of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas, Carnival Mardi Gras.
