My husband & I visited in 2024. and were
sad to see the cottage replaced with a typical modern house. We grieved a bit for the place where we began our life together.
We stopped by the Marina this month to ask if anyone was around that remembered the cottage? My husband went into the office to ask, while I waited in the car.The Marina owner’s daughter said yes, her parents bought it. My husband came back
to the car and suspiciously said “Be patient- I want to show you something.” We drove up Perrysview Drive- across a street and up hill. We passed a property with a HUGE RV parked in front. As we drove by, I caught a glimpse of a red structure and said “STOP!”. We got out of the car and THERE IT WAS! The cottage had not been destroyed!
The Marina owners had moved it up the hill!
We met the current owner who showed us that it
remained 95% intact including the fish cleaning
shed. We were THRILLED!
this made my heart sing! what a joy to yours! I love the double page - the water colored bits and taking the journaling challenge up a notch! brilliant!
Thank you! The timing of this happening was unreal. Just after the end of a week spent navigating my 92 yr,old Mom's struggle to adjust to a nursing home. Fiinding this cottage was such a lift and a wonder.
