journaling: Collin surprised us by coming 5 weeks early. I wasn't having any real problems with the pregnancy that gave us any clue he would be coming early. My water broke in bed at about 3 am. We called Pop-Pop and Nana and quickly threw some things in a bag. We dropped Avery off with Pop-Pop and Nana and rushed to Lancaster General. It wasn't until 9:54 a.m. that Collin was finally born. He only weighed 5 lbs 4 oz and was 18 inches long. As a precaution, he stayed in the NICU a week. He was perfectly healthy though, and we were so glad our baby boy was here!
