I don't make friends easily as a introvert. I am fine being by myself and usually most prefer it anyway. I have a handful of true friends I can call on when I need them, but it can feel burdensome to talk about work with them day-in and day-out when they have their own things going on. This is why work besties are essential. We don't hang outside of work and we haven't shared a ton of really personal things with each other but I know when I'm having a bad day or I just need to vent about the daily stressors going on at our job she is there for me and vice versa. We send memes and gifs about work, we can take a walk to vent it out when one of us is super upset and we can send angry emojis about our managers (rofl) only sorta kidding- all day long. No one understands the things going on at the job like a work bestie. She's the one you're surviving the day with because you both are trying to stay positive while everything burns around you. As busy as we stay at work we don't have a lot of time for fun and games, but we make time each day to check in with each other to say "HI" and through out the day to send some funny things or just to chat. It really does give my work day a little glimmer. So I'm grateful for my work bestie.
