- These are all Valentines that my father gave to my mother. They span the years from before they were married, 1943, to 2 years before he passed away in 1984 on their 40th wedding anniversary. My father was 18 years older than my mother and this was his 3rd marriage. Their friends didn't think it would last. I thank my mother for keeping scrapbooks of most of the cards that were given to her and organizing them by holiday. That made this so much easier to put together!
