It’s the Summer of 1997 and we’re on school holiday break. It’s somewhere at the end of July and the weather is perfect. One of my best friends at that time asked me to join her and her family (mom, dad and two sisters) on a vacation. We went camping to the Belgium ‘Ardennen’. (Sorry don’t know the English word). Her parents had a camper there and we went over there for three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). It was so much fun. We went hiking (2 times), swimming in a lake. We could feel the fish! We also went out for lunch and dinner. And we played games at the camping. Oh I miss those days. Unfortunately our friendship didn’t last. And our tent was next to a lot of cows. I remember taking some photos together with the cows. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. And I lost touch with my friend and her family, but I still remember and treasure all the fun times we had.
This page is absolutely gorgeous! It reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night. The composition is so great, with the moon so huge, with a cluster over it, and the little camper below, it really captures that feeling of being out in nature where the sky is enormous and we feel like a tiny part of things.
thanks for displaying that date so prominently, cool element. Your kit/story match is perfect and loved your journaling. "could feel the fish" ooooooh! Thanks for taking the heritage challenge!!
