I used to absolutely do anything to get out of having a virtual zoom interview as I could never get technology to cooperate and I would always be extra stressed and anxious leading into them no matter how much time I had allowed for any technical mishaps. Unfortunately the days of being able to physically travel to interviews out of town was totally off the table for the worst parts of COVID when there were local or national lockdowns for weeks or months so I had no choice but to somewhat embrace the challenges.
Little did I know , that 99% of my dislike for zoom interviews was actually my own useless computer. Once I had my new computer after years of putting up with the issues I actually realised how much I enjoyed the virtual interview. I found I was way more relaxed, less anxious and in a way had way less “performance” nerves. It also helped that after years of spending $500+ on flights, accommodation for little to no return up to this point I was no longer going into debt with my family. While I would still prefer an in person interview I don’t hate zoom interviews now!
Great page and I love your journaling. I can't do zoom because my sound have gone somewhere else. I can play videos that I've on my computer, I can play games with sounds but I can't hear anything from online. So no YouTube for me.
Glad you've come to embrace virtual interviews. I love them because they are more like an open book test since you can refer to notes without your interviewers knowing, which I think takes a bit of the stress off responding to questions. You did a great job adapting the template to your style. I especially like how you framed your journaling in the boxes.
