Hello FB World

Very early on our First Year Experience mentor shared what life was like doing the same degree as we were starting. One thing that came from that was the idea of having a class facebook group. Given I was student representative that year, I offered to set it up & moderate it which truly wasn’t that hard with only having about 40 people in it at its very peak. Having a class facebook page was invaluable during the three years that I studied with the BHumServ crew. So many times there were late night messages asking for help or saying there was an announcement from one of our lecturers on the online learning site or assignments were ready to be picked up on campus. There were also the panicked messages of what was going to be in the exam the night before...those were always fun, of course those came from those who usually didn’t attend the last lecture of the semester when we went over what would be in the exam!
