Halloween Journaling Challenge

Description
Journaling reads:
I’m horribly claustrophobic. That phobia effects so many areas
of my life, from not being able to put my head under the water to not wanting to fly. It means loss of control to me and I believe it stems back to my claustrophobia. Whenever I feel trapped or in any situation where I don’t have control, I have a mild panic attack. When I board an airplane, it’s like I give up all my free will and I’m at the mercy of the airline. I know that’s radical, but that’s the way I react. I truly believe that my claustrophobia came from an incident in my childhood. When I had my tonsils removed, I started coming out of the anesthesia too soon and the doctor was panicking and they had to hold me down. When I woke up, I thought I had been dreaming. In my dream, I had coils of wire all around me and I was fighting to breathe and trying to get loose. I’m having a very mild panicky feeling even as I write this. I’ve discussed this, but I’ve never written it down.

Wow! I love this! I am sorry for your phobia, mine is spiders and I can't bring myself to make a LO about that. In fact, I have deleted all spiders from all kits! lol
So you've inspired me. Thank you. And I love your creativity, and the font and the blue. Yup, I love this!

Cheryl, you have enlighten me so much. I don't/can't put my head under water (I even struggle when I shower) and I never saw the connection between that and my claustrophobia.

@Electra I'm SO glad that I inspired you, Electra. I can't use anything that has snakes in it. I'm terrified of them! This was SO hard for me to write and I had a lot of anxiety while I was writing it. Thanks so much for your comments. :heartlub:heartlub:heartlub

@Dalis Dalis, I can't put my face in the water when I shower, either. I panic every time. I keep a washcloth handy to cover my face the second I get done washing my hair. Glad I could shed some enlightenment on your phobia. I've been made fun of forever because I can't get my face wet or go under water. I see everybody swimming and going under the water and I'm so envious. :(

@Dalis Keep a washcloth handy and grab it the minute you're done. That's the only way I can wash my hair in the shower. I've been washing it in the deep kitchen sink lately and it's much less intimidating.
